Inspiring Teens Magazine is based out of Warrington, Pennsylvania. I was shocked they had contacted me to do an interview with them.
Here is the link of that interview.https://www.inspiringteens.com/togs
There are a-lot of things not mentioned in this interview that I would have loved to share with you all.
In 2010, I was just a mom with a camera. I had two gentlemen who noticed me at a football game taking pictures of my boys on the field.
They started to ask me questions and then wanted to know if I would be willing to help them out with photographing a few football games.
Then one thing led to another and they invited me to their photography studio. John Rindahl and Ralph Cornely of Archer Photography in Antwerp, Ohio.
They both intimated me at first with there huge camera's and their nice studio. I am like there is NO way I can learn all of this. But, John and Ralph said to me
girl, you have all ready got it! I am like what do you mean? They told me that you know what you are doing with your camera and that you have the eye. You have the gift.
They both seen something in me that I didn't see. Ralph Cornely is an amazing mentor, he showed me so many neat tricks with the lighting and with photoshop. He himself
had an amazing eye and talent. He just clicked with me and showed me his ways. John Rindahl is like my big brother. He took me under his wing and showed me how to use
the Nikon D3s, Which scared the Sh#!# out of me when I was holding it. The camera was HUGE compared to my little point and shoot camera. John loved getting out the big
lenses and shoot the entire length of the football field. John and Ralph asked me to become part of their team and help them photograph sporting events and also weddings.
the three of us together made some beautiful work. It was nice to have every angle of a wedding captured with the three of us working our magic.
I actually had started my own business and they had their business. We all still worked together and helped each other out. In 2013, We had lost Ralph. There isn't a day that
goes by that I don't think about him. He had me rolling with laughter all the time. Helped me stay strong when I felt like quitting. He had a way of showing me that you got this
girl! John and his wife Laura moved back to Wisconsin where he is from. They let me use their studio space until they had sold their home here in Antwerp. Since then.
The last 10 years sure have flown by so quickly. I know have a business in my family barn, which my husband and I have built a few years ago.
Donn has stuck by my side for 29 years now and has helped me get thru some pretty tough patches along the way. But, together we have grown and I am so blessed beyond
words can express. August of 2020, will mark my 10 year Anniversary in business. Thank you everyone for all the outpouring love and support. I cannot wait to help you
make more memories and help you preserve them for a life time!
