It's All About Location
One of the concerns, other then wardrobe, my clients had was about location. They would ask me how and where the pictures would be done. Honesty, when they call, I have no clue. I start having a conversation with my clients and start getting to know who they are. Not who their mom or dad is or who their best friend is. I ask about their interest and hobbies. What their favorite colors are. What their likes and dislikes are about themselves. This is how I try and start their photo session before I even see them in person.
Once I collect all of this information, my head will start to spin and all these ideas start to flow. Once meeting with my client; I warn them up front that I am known to talk to myself; lol. I will say something out loud and try to figure out how I want my backdrop to look, or my lighting on the subject (client) or would try and do a pose with my hands, arms and body. I guess I am quite hilarious; lol.
I have posted above samples of locations and ideas of what I have done for some of my seniors. Enjoy!
